This private customizable tour of Provence begins with a trip to Vaison la Romaine, at the heart of ancient Roman Provence. There are assorted archeological sites you can visit here, including the Gallo-Roman bridge and Amphitheatre. If you come on a Tuesday, you can visit the beautiful market in Vaison, where locals come to get fresh produce, cheeses and meats. You can pick up some locally made lavender soap or handmade linens here. If you do choose to visit the Tuesday market, you will not be able to visit all of the archeological sites since some of them close during the market. There are lots of lovely cafes for lunch here.

Next, you will stop and have a guided tour Chateauneuf du Pape, a medieval hillside village famous for its vineyards. You can visit the ruins of the old stone castle here. After your walking tour of the sights, you will be ready for the final stop of the day: a wine and chocolate tasting in Chateauneuf. The tasting that’s part of this tour takes place in a former chocolate factory that has been turned into a huge chocolate and wine boutique. You will sample the wares here with the assistance of a professional sommelier or chocolate chef. The tasting includes three wines matching five different chocolates.
