Join this fabulous walking tour of Paris featuring the history and culture of food of this great city. This delectable private tour of Paris, a gourmet tour, takes place in the historic Marais district. You will focus on the local flavors of this area of Paris. Your Paris gourmet tour's first stop is Rue des Archives and head to Rue Rambuteau, where you’ll visit a chocolate shop and purchase some chocolates to sample a little later when you are ready for sweets. You will first try delicacies of the small Italian community here, including a visit to a salumeria, or cured meat shop. Your walking tour of Paris will continue onto Rue des Francs Bourgeois to the Jewish quarter, enjoy a tasting in the traditional food shops here.  Continuing on to Rue St Antoine, originally built by the Romans, you will at last discover a more traditional French cuisine: including cheeses, deli cuts, pastries and wine tasting.  For some of us the highlights here is the tasting of tasty cheeses paired with fabulous wine.

Afterward you will visit Rue Francois Miron, where your nose will wake up to the exotic smells of spices from all over the world at the most famous spice shop in Paris. You will continue to Rue du Roi de Sicile for a last tasting at Pozzetto Ice Cream, then walk to Mariage Frères, a renowned teahouse, where you may purchase some tea to carry home.  You will finish your walk back at Rue des Archives.
