landing beaches are famous for their key role
in the fall of Nazi Germany. Your guided tour
of Normandy begins with Pegasus Bridge, one

Pegasus Bridge was captured by Major John Howard
and his gliderborne company in a coup de main
operation.
Your guided Normandy tour will also take you to Arromanches, where you will visit the remains of the artificial harbor, built by the Allied Forces in less than 15 days. You can visit the Interpretive Center in Normandy next to the American Cemetery, which features stories, photos, films, interactive displays and artifacts. Your private tour of Normandy then takes you to the German coastal artillery battery at Longues sur Mer, which played a vital role in the D-Day landings firing on the Allied shipping. Or you may opt visit the Canadian Battlefield sites.
After lunch at a restaurant or bistro, your private tour of Normandy will take you to the American Cemetery of Saint Laurent, followed by a drive to Omaha Beach, where so many young Americans lost their lives. Time permitting, you will also tour the spectacular Pointe du Hoc, where Colonel James Rudder and his Rangers accomplished a memorable feat of arms on the cliffs on June 6, 1944.
