It is famous for it's wine, Orvieto Classico. It has many attraction including its beautiful Gothic cathedral with important frescoes by Signorelli and Fra Giovanni. The city has a couple of interesting museums, many shops, cafes and restaurants. You can also tour the underground city, made up of labyrinth of caves, tunnels, stairs and passageways that have been left unaltered for 2500 years. If interested in this tour, you must see the tourist office immediately upon arrival in Orvieto to sign up for the tour.
